Delaware Valley Regional High School is very proud of the quality of coaching provided to our cheerleaders. The dedication and knowledge of our coaching staff is largely responsible for the success of our squads.
Kimmy Sweet - Head Coach
This is Kimmy's 6th year as the Head Coach for the Del Val cheer program. During the years, Kimmy has led the team to very successful seasons with 4 Hunterdon County titiles, 4 Skyland Conference titiles, 3 NJ State Championship titiles and Nationally ranked 5 consecutive years! Each year, Kimmy leads the team to compete at High School Nationals in Orlando FL. Kimmy has over 19 years of cheerleading experience. She has been a UCA staff member for the past 12 years and has choreographed for a variety teams prior to coaching at Del Val. She is a graduate of Belvidere High School, where she cheered four years on Varsity. Kimmy graduated from East Stroudsburg University in 2005 with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, where she also cheered all four years. She recently graduated with her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Montclair State University and is a High School Guidance Counselor at Ridge High School in Basking Ridge NJ.
Jill Andresen - Assistant Coach
We welcome Jill back for her 4th year coaching at Del Val. Jill is a former Del Val Cheerleader and graduated from the school in 2003. She recently graduated from Towson University with a degree in Psychology. Jill was a Towson Cheerleader and competed with the team nationally. She has been a UCA instructor for 6 years. Jill is currently pursuing her Master's Degree at The College of New Jersey.
Doug Linden - Volunteer Assistant
Doug first became involved with Del Val Cheering when his daughter, Heather, was a Varsity cheerleader and "officially" became a volunteer coach in 2000. Since then, he has attained certification from the American Cheerleading Coaches and the American Heart Association in CPR. He is also an active member of the New Jersey Cheer and Dance Coaches Association. Doug is currently a pilot for United Airlines. One of Doug's most greatly appreciated contributions is his year-end video which he has made for the Varisty squad since 1995!
